Getting Started with Administration
The Administration side of DealerPortal is where back-office staff manage companies, contacts, orders, catalog content, and system configuration. It shares a login with the Dealer Portal — there's no separate admin URL or account type.
Logging In
Use the same login page and credentials as the Dealer Portal. Once signed in, any Administration sections you have permission for appear in the sidebar under System Administration.
Finding Your Way Around
The sidebar is split into two groups:
- Navigation — available to every signed-in user: Dashboard, the product catalog and Quotes, Parts Catalog, Order Pads, and File Library.
- System Administration — one entry per permission you hold: Companies, Contacts, Order Admin, Announcements, File Manager, Quick Links, catalog management, Parts, Data Load, Statuses, Settings, Reports, User Groups, and Users.
If a section doesn't appear in your sidebar, you don't currently hold the permission for it. See Roles & Permissions for how access is granted.
