Users

Manage user accounts, their group membership, and individual permission overrides here.

Viewing Users

Go to Administration → Users. The list shows First Name, Last Name, Company, Email, and the User Groups each person belongs to.

Adding a User

  1. Click Add User.
  2. Fill in First Name, Last Name, Company, Email, and Phone Number.
  3. Click Save.

A new user is created without a password and without an automatic welcome email. After saving, you'll land on their Update page to finish setup.

Setting a Password and Sending a Welcome Email

From a user's Update page, under Security:

  • To set or reset their password, type it into the Password/Confirm Password fields and save.
  • Click Send Welcome Email to email them a link to set their own password. The last-sent date is shown beneath the button.

Assigning Groups and Permissions

Still on the Update page:

  1. Use the User Groups field to add or remove the groups this user belongs to. Each group grants its bundle of permissions.
  2. Below it, each of the 14 permissions shows as a toggle, reflecting what the user's groups currently grant.
  3. To grant or revoke a specific permission for just this user regardless of their groups, flip its toggle directly. This creates an override, marked with a note explaining it won't change even if the user's groups change later. Click Remove Override to go back to letting groups control that permission.

Tips

A permission that shows as checked and disabled with "enabled by the system" is granted outside the group/override system entirely and can't be changed from this screen.

Impersonating a User

Click Impersonate on a user's Update page to log in as that user immediately — there is no confirmation step, so only use this when you're sure. While impersonating, a Stop Impersonating link appears in the top-right profile menu to return to your own account.

Warning

Impersonation is available to anyone with the Manage Users permission, for any user, including other admins. Grant this permission carefully.

Deleting a User

Open the user's Update page and click Delete, then confirm. This deactivates the account and signs them out of any active sessions; it does not remove their historical records.
